What are the three assessment tiers in EcoIQ?
EcoIQ uses three tiers to determine which questionnaire a supplier receives, based on their ESG risk profile. The tier is assigned before invitations are sent, using the Supplier Classification Tracker (see Section 2).
| Tier | Questionnaire type | Questions | What it measures |
| Rapid Adequacy Assessment | Essential | 9–13 (by market) | Binary adequacy screening — each question scores Adequate or Needs Attention. No maturity scoring. Rapid screen of an entire supply base. |
| Standard Assessment | Standard | 45–55 (by market) | Full annual ESG assessment on a 0–4 maturity scale. Produces KPI scores, E/S/G section scores, overall risk band, and year-on-year trend. |
| Comprehensive Assessment | Comprehensive | 60–72 (by market) | Everything in Standard plus sub-tier supply chain mapping, conflict minerals, biodiversity, circular economy, and advanced governance metrics. |
⚑ Note: Question counts vary by market configuration: Global Only / South Africa / EU / SA + EU. South Africa adds B-BBEE, EEA, and labour broker questions. EU adds CSDDD/CSRD-aligned questions.
