EcoIQ - How to complete your ESG questionnaire
As a valued supplier, you play an important role in the organisation that invited you and in their commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices. This guide walks you through everything you need to do — from receiving your invitation to submitting your completed questionnaire.
Step 1: Receive your invitation
You will receive an automated email invitation from EcoIQ. The email contains a personalised link to start your ESG questionnaire.
Click Start ESG Assessment to access the platform.
⚠️ Completion deadline: 12 weeks from receipt of the invitation.
Step 2: First-time log in to EcoIQ
After clicking the button in your invitation email, you will arrive at the EcoIQ landing page.
- Use the language selector to choose your preferred language — English and French are currently available.
- Click Get Started to proceed through the following steps:
Verify your company information and sign the affidavit waiver
- Review your company details — some fields will already be pre-filled.
- Complete any missing information. Fields marked with * are required.
- Sign the affidavit waiver by entering your name, surname, and signature.
- Tick the confirmation box to confirm the information is accurate and that you are authorised to submit on behalf of your company.
- Click Save & Continue to proceed.
⚠️ This step must be completed before you can begin answering the questionnaire.
Add contacts (optional)
- Click Add Contact to invite up to three colleagues to help complete sections of the questionnaire.
- Each contact can access all sections (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
- You can divide the work internally — for example, one person handles Environmental, another Social, another Governance.
- Only one person needs to approve and submit the completed questionnaire.
- Click Save & Send Invites to invite colleagues by email
- then Confirm & Send to confirm.
- If you don't need to involve colleagues, click Continue to Questionnaire.
💡 Tip: We recommend inviting at least one backup contact. This ensures the assessment can be completed on time if the main contact is unavailable.
Answer questions, upload documents, and submit
- Complete each section (Environmental, Social, Governance, and Documentation) of the ESG questionnaire.
- Click the arrow next to each question to open and answer it.
- Answer all questions in a section, then click Mark section complete.
- Upload required and supporting documents and mark the Documentation section as complete.
- If needed, click Save draft to save your progress and return later.
- Once all sections are complete, click Submit Questionnaire to send it for review.
Step 3: Log back in (if you saved a draft)
If you saved your questionnaire as a draft, you can return to it at any time:
- Go to https://accounts.eco-iq.com/sign-in
- Enter your email address and click Continue.
- Check your inbox for an email from EcoIQ and click the Sign in to ecoiq button.
- You will be taken directly back to your questionnaire.
Important: how sign-in works
- The first time you log in, you must use the invitation email you received.
- After that, always log in at https://accounts.eco-iq.com/sign-in.
- Sign-in is a two-step process: enter your email address, then click the personal link sent to you.
- No password is required.
- The sign-in link expires after 10 minutes — use it promptly.
✅ You have now completed your ESG assessment. Your submission will be reviewed, your results will be shared with you, and you will be contacted to discuss any improvement opportunities.
