eRFx: Create an Opportunity

  • From My Office > eRFx > Manage Opportunities, you are able to create a new opportunity.

  • Click the “ADD NEW OPPORTUNITY” to initiate a new eRFx.

  • Complete the “opportunities details” page with details of the opportunity.

  • Click on the “NEXT – QUOTE ON” button to continue.

  • Capture the individual line items that need to be included for the bidder to quote against.  Alternatively, if the list of good/services is long, you could request the bidder to include the details in an attachment that can be uploaded via the upload tool on the previous page.
  • Remember to be very clear and specific in terms of Unit of Measure to quote on, and Quantity required, to ensure that bidders understand how you require them to quote.
  • Click on “SUBMIT” to continue.
  • You have the option to display the opportunity to the public Platform notice board, or limit to your connected suppliers only (Your supply chain). Specify as required.
  • A buyer can also select companies based on products and/or services from the Find Companies page, and use the bulk send eRFx function to target these companies only, to receive the prepared Opportunity.
  • Select one of the three options and click the “SUBMIT” button to finalize the opportunity.


The confirmation message indicates the you have successfully submitted the opportunity. 

  • Click “SUBMIT” to continue.
  • Provided the opportunity has not started yet, users are able to edit the content and update the opportunity, and also extend the opportunity expiry date.  Once the opportunity goes live, a user cannot edit anymore.
