COMPLIANCE MANAGEMENT
- From My Office > Compliance Management, you are able to view the compliance status of your suppliers.
- This is an ongoing compliance process, reporting on applicable regulatory checks.
- Click on the Company name to open up the detail, which will guide your onboarding decisions, and ongoing supplier utilization.
- Companies on the Platform subject to compliance checks will have access to their own compliance outcomes, and are required to manage their profile information in line with these findings. Where a Company has sight of other companies compliance due to the nature of the relationship between the 2 companies, any compliance failings should be brought to the attention of the relevant company to action.
- A particular check to look out for is the CIPC business status, where a company may be in annual deregistration if they have not updated their information with CIPC, or may be in final deregistration or liquidation if in the process of closing down. These statuses present risks to the buying company, who should take the necessary action to mitigate this risk.
- Note that not all company types are included in Compliance Management, such as Government branches, NPO's, Trusts, Co-Ops and foreign companies. Only companies registered with CIPC (Companies and Intellectual Property Commission) will have ongoing compliance checks.
- Suppliers who receive a "failed compliance" email, should go back to their company profile to ensure both CIPC and VAT details have been captured correctly. Log into your B1LINK account and go to My Company > Company Profile > Company Information, check the following:
- Is your company name spelt correctly (update spelling mistake accordingly)
- Remove "CC" or "PTY LTD" etc from the "Company Registered Name" field, it must just reflect the company registered name only as shown on the CIPC document.
- Ensure VAT number is captured correctly.
- Once you are sure your company information is correct, save the page so that compliance is resent again.
- After 30 minutes, please view your compliance details again. If there are further issues with compliance you are unable to resolve, please contact the B1SA support desk for assistance.
